Wii Component Cables Available In Stores

Over the last month Nintendo fans with HD TV sets across the world have been fretting about the ability to push Wii to it’s maximum prowess. It had seemed that the Wii Component Cables, which boost the gameplay to a 480p resolution, would only be available through online retailers. However, in a recent interview Nintendo of America’s Perrin Kaplan stated that the component cables will be available in brick and mortar stores for the release of the Wii.

This is another in a line of revelations from Perrin Kaplan who has previously irritated Nintendo fans by initially stating the Wii would be region-free, before going back on the statement to tell us it was in fact completely not region-free. Unfortunately this bad press is denting the Wii’s reputation, but let’s hope it’s too near launch time to make much of a difference.
